外人道。Mi vida en Japón
The Spring officially started around the end of March but here in Nagano doesn’t matter really. Even if Japan is in the north hemisphere at least in Nagano we almost can divide the year in two seasons: The Cold Season and The Hot Season, between them we have the remains of the Spring and Autumn.
I talk in the case of Nagano prefecture in other parts of Japan the 4 seasons might be still pretty normal. So far, I can say this last Cold Season was for me the longest in my life with 7 months of cold, from October until April. Last week we got a couple of days with low temperatures around 3c with rain and strong winds and this is the second year where I have a drastic change of temperatures from Cold to Hot, but also one time I have a extreme change from Hot to Cold.
So, last week I was still using all my winter clothes and today I went out of the house using shorts, polo and summer socks. Just suddenly 4 days ago start to feel really hot and temperatures just increased. Even yesterday we got 30c.
Almost 3 years ago I went so Singapore and Malaysia around the end of September and of course was still warm here in Japan after a week away when I backed I was freezing and catch a very bad cold.
Anyway since last summer I started to really appreciate the Summer and after 7 months of cold weather I can say that I’m so happy to finally have a nice warm weather. Now we can open the windows all day long and have have a nice breakfast with the breeze that comes from the mountain.
I like Winter but here in Nagano is too long that make you feel sad, depress plus you spend more money as your eat habits change plus the heater, electric blankets, hot bathtubs, etc. The hot season is here and looks like the season bring good things for us. It’s time to enjoy being outside.
Flash was created during the PC era – for PCs and mice. Flash is a successful business for Adobe, and we can understand why they want to push it beyond PCs. But the mobile era is about low power devices, touch interfaces and open web standards – all areas where Flash falls short.
In this special, impromptu episode, Dan talks with two great minds in the Apple world, Andy Ihnatko of the Chicago Sun Times and John Gruber of Daring Fireball about the intriguing Gizmodo acquisition of a pre-release iPhone, and the implications, legal and otherwise, for Gizmodo, Apple, and online journalism as a whole.
